Structure of the course and costs: The knowledge, practical and workplace experience units are combined into a set of 7 modules. Candidates can pay per module or for the full qualification. The knowledge modules are all completed online and the assessment is in the form of simple multiple choice or true and false questions. The practical modules are also online and mentoring and support is given to individuals as they work through the course The workplace modules must be done in an ECD environment under the supervision of an ECD practitioner who has at least a Level 5 ECD qualification. These modules need to be completed in the workplace and signed off. There is an external examination at the end of the course.
